tim serda is one of the reasons you're here. he co-founded digitalfilm tree in 2000, after working at apple on the final cut pro team. having worked on projects that got the company on its feet, including scrubs and rules of attraction, the project he's most proud of. he fondly remembers a time when dft was a "bootstrapped company" run by a few guys out of an apartment above a garage and in its old office on sunset boulevard. on rules of attraction, for example, tim recalls convincing the studio to use final cut pro, in addition to recording adr with actors in a bathroom. tim took a bit of a break from dft, but returned in 2017 as facilities manager, which involves facilities security and overall operation of the building. "every day is different for me," he says.
