bringing the umbrella academy to life

digitalfilm tree (dft) returns to sxsw! our coo and host of the drop, nancy jundi, will moderate “bringing the umbrella academy to life” live in austin. we’ll join writer, showrunner and executive producer steve blackman, director and executive producer jeff king, and producer and senior vfx supervisor everett burrell, with dft’s senior vfx artist carlo vega and previs producer andrea aniceto-chavez as they unpack one of netflix’s biggest hits, taking you through time, epic battles and the emotional journeys of family.

bringing the umbrella academy to life will be held in ballroom EF at the austin convention center on sunday, march 13th at 11:30am cst. this featured session is available to all music, film, interactive and platinum badge holders at sxsw. the panel will also be available for streaming if you’re not in austin, but have the sxsw online pass.

while we’re in austin, we’ll also premiere season 4 of the drop! dft & ace @ sxsw – we’ll interview editors, cast, directors and producers from showcasing feature films and television shows at the festival. we’ll also share behind the scenes footage of our panels and on the ground experience.
